Lip Lift Surgery

A subtle surgical procedure designed to create naturally fuller, more youthful lips.

A surgical lip lift shortens the space between the nose and upper lip, revealing more of the natural lip for a softer, fuller, and more youthful appearance, without the need for ongoing fillers.

At Visage Skin Clinique, lip lift procedures are performed by Dr. Szeto, an ENT and reconstructive facial surgeon with specialized expertise in facial anatomy and facial rejuvenation.

What it addresses

Common concerns a lip lift resolves

Facial proportion & balance

The balance between the nose, lips, and chin is key to facial harmony. As the upper lip lengthens with age, this proportion can shift. A lip lift restores a more balanced, youthful profile.

A lip that appears thin or hidden

A longer upper lip can hide much of the natural lip, making the lips appear smaller or less noticeable. A lip lift reveals more of the natural lip surface for a fuller, more defined appearance.

Limited tooth show when smiling

A youthful smile typically shows a small amount of the upper teeth. As the upper lip lengthens, the teeth may become less visible. A lip lift can restore a brighter, more youthful smile.

Softened lip definition

Over time, the natural shape of the upper lip can soften, reducing the definition of the lip border and overall contour. A lip lift enhances the natural shape of the upper lip.

More visible lip surface

A longer upper lip can hide much of the natural lip surface. A lip lift reveals more of the lip, creating a naturally fuller and more noticeable appearance without adding volume.

Long-lasting lip enhancement

Many lip treatments require ongoing maintenance. A lip lift provides a structural improvement to the position of the lip — a natural enhancement that does not rely on repeated filler injections.

The process

What to expect

From your first consultation to your final follow-up, we guide you through every step with transparency and care.

1

Consultation

Your journey begins with a personalized consultation where your facial structure, lip proportions, and aesthetic goals are carefully evaluated. Treatment options are discussed and a customized surgical plan is developed to ensure natural, balanced results.

2

Preparation

Prior to your procedure, you will receive detailed instructions to help prepare for surgery and support optimal healing. This may include guidance on medications, skincare, and lifestyle considerations leading up to your appointment.

3

Procedure

Performed under local anesthesia. A small amount of skin is carefully removed beneath the base of the nose to elevate the upper lip and improve facial balance. The incision is placed within the natural crease beneath the nose for discreet healing.

Recovery & results

Mild swelling and tenderness are common during the first few days. Sutures are typically removed within one week, and most patients return to normal daily activities shortly after. The lips appear naturally fuller with improved definition and a more youthful smile.
